Chloe

Meet Chloe, the latest addition to the zoo that is my house. She’s my new best friend.

When my mom came to town this weekend, she brought her pup Zoe with her. Having Zoe in the house convinced my housemate Julie that we should get a dog. Shelby (Julie’s daughter) and I were thrilled. And bam, within a day, we had one… a perfect one. She came from the Australian Shepherd Rescue in Orem. She is quiet and mellow, but also incredibly loving and fun. She’s young, we’ll train her well, and she ignores the cats (which is something we worried might not happen).

Julie works from the house, so she is around during the day and the dog will rarely be left alone. And she’ll get outside a lot since she’ll accompany Julie on mountain bike rides and me on hikes and trail runs. School gets out within the month so Shelby will be around too. Our backyard is a dog’s paradise, and basically, having Chloe around makes the house a paradise… or maybe just a zoo. After all, we do already have four cats, a bird, and a rat.
