I first found out about the Cedar Breaks Wildflower Festival last year about a week after it ended. I’ve been waiting to go ever since, but when I finally remembered it last week, I assumed I had missed it again this year. And that would have been just the case if the festival hadn’t been pushed back due to a cold June and a late bloom. So last weekend, when a very tumultuous week finally came to an end, I escaped back to my happy place of contentedness and the outdoors. Dylan and I did a little hiking, a lot of goofing off, and even more relaxing. The fresh air at over 10,000 feet was just what I needed. And with millions, literally millions, probably billions, of wildflowers all around me, it was the ultimate escape.
